Leica Sport Optics USA has introduced the Rangemaster CRF Max, a new compact laser rangefinder priced at $1,499. According to the company, the CRF Max is the most advanced compact rangefinder in Leica’s lineup and is aimed at hunters and long-range shooters seeking integrated ballistic and ranging capabilities.
A key feature of the CRF Max is its active-matrix microLED heads-up display, which presents ballistic information directly in the optic. The unit also includes user-programmable ranging logic with first, best, and last target modes, along with an EHR mode for bowhunting.
The rangefinder has Applied Ballistics Elite built in, allowing users to store up to 30 custom firearm profiles and calculate real-time holdover and windage corrections. Leica has also added a WEZ (Weapon Engagement Zone) feature, which displays the probability of a successful hit based on current conditions.
Bluetooth connectivity enables integration with the Leica Ballistics App, Applied Ballistics Quantum App, Garmin ballistic watches, Kestrel and Calypso weather meters, and mapping platforms such as BaseMap and Google Maps, with OnX support planned for a future update.
Weighing seven ounces and measuring 4.4 x 3.1 x 1.4 inches, the CRF Max offers a stated maximum range of up to 3,700 yards. It includes onboard wind correction and environmental sensors for pressure, temperature, inclination, and compass data.
The Leica Rangemaster CRF Max is available in Flat Dark Earth and ships with a Cordura case, neck strap, and battery. Optional accessories, including a tripod adapter and neoprene cover, are sold separately.
